1. Action-to-Receipt Conversion
When a transaction is signed by an account, the signer's shard validates the access key nonce and burns base gas before converting operations into asynchronous Action Receipts routed to destination shards.
2. Execution Outcome & Gwei
The receiver's shard processes each Receipt within a block chunk. Wasm contract execution burns compute gas measured in Gwei (1012 gas units), recording a state root change and an Execution Outcome.
3. Merkle Outcome Proof
Each receipt outcome produces an execution proof included in the chunk header. Anyone can independently verify that a receipt was executed on POL mainnet using standard Light Client merkle proofs.
